Dana spent 20 years running skilled nursing, post-acute, and assisted living communities across New York, Vermont, and New Jersey. She watched residents go days without a real conversation — not because staff didn't care, but because the math doesn't work. A single aide covering twelve residents simply cannot be present for all of them.

She brought that problem to Aniruth, who had spent his career building AI systems at Google, VMware, and Accenture, and to Felicia, who led product and technology at Pivotal and Morgan Stanley. The question they asked was simple: could an AI companion be genuinely helpful to a senior, not just a novelty? One that remembered names, noticed mood shifts, and gave families real information without compromising resident dignity?

Bailey is what they built. Today it runs in any browser, requires no app, and has real conversations — about grandchildren, old recipes, favorite songs — that residents actually look forward to. The family dashboard gives loved ones a window into daily life. Staff get a quiet partner that handles the companionship gap so they can focus on care.
